For me, the most interesting thing about soju is that sometimes it can taste very alcoholy, like rubbing alcohol with an ethanol aftertaste, but on other nights it goes down so smooth like water, and those are the nights you gotta watch out because you might end up drinking too much.

Soju is not a beginner's alcohol taste wise. But assuming your weight and height is somewhat normal and you aren't allergic to anything in soju, you should be fine.
